KUCHING: Residents of Bau were duly noted of an unplanned water supply interruption from 2pm today until repair works are done.
In a notice issued yesterday, the areas in Bau which are affected are Kampung Badul; Jalan Jiu Phin; Musi-Atas, Jalan Kampung Tanjong Poting; Musi, Jalan Kampung Senibong; and the entire Kampung Sungai Pinang/Kabiah until the old and new Kandis.
The Kuching division water engineer stated that there was a leak on the 160mm HDPE pipe at Jalan Jiu Phin at the construction area of the Pan Borneo Highway (LBU).
The Kuching Water Board has instructed LBU contractors to rectify the issue as quick as they can.
Residents are advised to stock up on water and conserve water supply usage throughout the duration of the interruption.
The board will ensure that such issue will be resolved as soon as possible.
