Celebrate Ramadan by ordering food online from an e-bazaar.

KUCHING: A new online e-bazaar is coming to town.

Ramadan is just around the corner and traditionally, Malaysians look forward to such bazaars, which sell a wide variety of food for iftar (breaking of fast).

However, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg announced a ban on Ramadan and Gawai Dayak bazaars this year to curb the transmission of the coronavirus.

To compensate, the state government will allow online sales of food items.

For the first time, Canard team will collaborate with WatsapKita team to create an e-bazaar.

Named WatsapKita e-Bazar, the platform will have a ‘community bazaar’ where each community will have its own-based sellers and customers can buy food online.

Buyfood from WatsapKita e-Bazaar with these simple steps.

Among the advantages of the e-bazaar is that it has a complete process of trade from online purchasing to delivery. Apart from that, the food products bought from different sellers can be delivered in a single delivery.

“The delivery will be done on the same day in about several hours, depending on the order. The payment can be done through the e-wallet app Boost,” said WatsapKita in a statement yesterday.

It explained that buyers can visit the e-bazaar at www.watsapkita.my, choose the community bazaar and scroll through the food products available.

“Upon deciding on the food products, the buyers can make their payment via e-wallet and just wait for their food to be delivered to their doorstep,” it added.

WatsapKita also mentioned that registration is still open for interested sellers who wish to be part of the e-bazaar vendors.

“The seller can only focus on making the food products as the delivery and payment process will be done by us. We will only charge 10 percent from the price of every food product,” it continued.
