KUCHING: A 58-year-old woman was found dead today (Feb 13) after the bedroom floor on the first floor of a house at Star Garden, Jalan Green here collapsed.
Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah, who confirmed the case, said a report on the incident was received at 2.20pm and a team of police officers were deployed to the scene.
He added that the case is classified as sudden death, and is still under investigation.
It is believed that the incident happened a few days ago and was only realised by the victim’s brother today after failing to contact her.
Batu Lintang firemen were also despatched to the scene to help extricate the victim from under the rubble.
The victim’s body was then handed over to the police for further action.
