1,500 civil servants attend TN50 Dialogue Session

KUCHING: About 1,500 civil servants from various government agencies in the state yesterday attended the 2050 National Transformation Plan (TN50) Dialogue Session to voice out their aspirations.

According to Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, most of the aspirations focused on improvements in  education including the nursery, primary and secondary and university levels.

He said a lot of changes were needed to achieve these aspirations.

Other aspirations touched on health and rural development, revealed Ali during the press conference held after the TN50 Dialogue Session with the state civil servants at Dewan Majma, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, Jalan P. Ramlee here.

He added that he was pleased most of the civil servants, regardless of their positions, had aspirations that would benefit all levels of the society.

Ali disclosed that more TN50 Dialogue Sessions would be held throughout the country in the future.

“Hopefully, we will get the results and the TN50 policies can be formulated before the plan is implemented,” he said.

The TN50 Dialogue Session here was held to get  input, opinions and aspirations from the civil servants in the state.

State Secretary, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi Abdul Ghani was also present as a moderator for the dialogue forum.

Also present was the Deputy Director-General of the Public Service Department (Operations), Datuk Seri Zainal Rahim Seman.

The first TN50 Dialogue Session was held together with Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the Federal Territory in Putrajaya on 31 May, 2017.

The next one took place in Sabah on 11 July, 2017.

It is learnt that all the input and aspirations will be analysed and published into a report which will be handed over to the Special Unit of TN50 (Economic Planning Unit). 

Apart from the dialogue session, aspirations and also hopes for the public services by the year 2050 can also be submitted through the TN50 website at www.tn50.pmo.gov.my.
