MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Chapter delivered 46 bottles of hand sanitiser to ten nurseries and kindergartens in the division on Tuesday (Sept 14).

Its advisor Datuk Lee Kim Shin said that the hand sanitisers were a contribution from a company in Japan named Saraya Company.

“Previously, a total of 25,289 bottles of one-litre hand sanitary liquid were donated by the said company to the MRC Miri Chapter to be handed over to institutions such as nurseries and kindergartens, the elderly, orphanages, schools, associations and religious associations as well as government agencies, including Miri City Council.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Saraya Company for its humanitarian initiative in combating the Covid-19 by donating large amounts of sanitary fluids to education and government agencies in the Miri Division,” he said.

Also present during the handover ceremony were MRC Miri Chapter first vice chairperson Liza Chai and Miri Registered Child Care Association chairperson Angela Goh.
