SIMANGGANG: Do not be easily influenced by the sweet promises of the opposition, the public here were told.

In making the call, Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis reminded the people must evaluate and think rationally before voting the elected representative.

“As the election season gets near, many people are trying to get the attention to entice voters. This happens in our area here.

“Those who are disappointed and those who have their own agenda are colluding with the opposition to poison the minds of the people.

“Do not fall into the deception and empty promises made by the opposition because they do not have the financial resources to fund the projects that they promise,” he said in his speech during the cleaning programme held by the village security and development (JKKK) of the Rumah Rose Emma here at Temudok Atas today.

He added that political stability under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government would ensure continuous development in the state.
