The differences between genuine and counterfeit Himalaya Salt Sports Candy.

KUCHING: Nicko Jeep Manufacture Sdn Bhd (Nicko Jeep) has warned consumers against buying counterfeit versions of its popular Himalaya Salt Sports Candy (Himalaya Salt Extra Cool Mint Candy – Lemon Flavour) sold at unauthorised sales channels.

According to a statement yesterday, the company takes this issue very seriously as counterfeiting products are not only illegal but may also pose health risks to consumers due to dubious ingredients used in manufacturing the candies.

“Nicko Jeep’s manufacturing facility that manufactures the Himalaya Salt Sports Candy is certified by HACCP, GMP, Mesti and Jakim. However, these counterfeit candies are not certified and are therefore not safe for consumption.

“We’ve reported this to the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism and we hope stern action will be taken against these perpetrators.

“In the meantime, we strongly suggest that customers only purchase our Himalaya Salt Sports Candy from reputable retailers,” added the statement.
