KUCHING: The arrival of Regent of Pahang Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, at the Pullman Hotel this afternoon (Jan 15) sparked joy among his fans.
Landing at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 2.50 pm, Tengku Hassanal was greeted by hundreds of enthusiastic fans at the hotel at 3.20 pm and graciously took time to interact and take photos with them.
He was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, and deputy state secretary, Datuk Buckland Langik.
Tengku Hassanal’s visit marks the start of his official five-day tour in the city. Tomorrow (Jan 16), he will visit Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) at ICOM Square in the morning and later Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) Tower at Jalan Isthimus. His afternoon schedule includes a visit to the Borneo Cultural Museum (BCM).
The evening will see him attending the Majlis Santapan Malam, with the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and other dignitaries in attendance.
The following day, Wednesday, Tengku Hassanal is set to explore the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, Fort Margherita, and Dataran Ibu Pertiwi. His day will conclude with a tea reception in the evening.
On Thursday (Jan 18), his agenda includes visits to the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Tower at Jalan Isthmus and the ‘PETROS Multi-Fuel Station Darul Hana’.
He will also pay homage to the Alga Resintech Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Seed Site at Demak Laut Industrial Park Kuching, before concluding his morning visit.
In the evening, he will explore the Kuching Waterfront and enjoy a dinner cruise from the River Cruise Terminal.
Finally, on Friday (Jan 19), Tengku Hassanal will wrap up his visit with sessions at various related agencies before his departure back to Kuala Lumpur.
