MIRI: A pet dog which kept on barking saved a family from a poisonous snake on Saturday night.
The incident reportedly happened at a house in Tudan.
The dog’s incessant barking caused its owner, a woman in her 30s, to wake up and check on the disturbance.
At first she tried ignoring it, but the dog did not stop barking.
“I was surprised to see a two-metre long snake slithering on the floor outside when I opened the main door,” said the woman.
She immediately called Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.
It took APM personnel less than 15 minutes to catch the snake.
