SERIAN: The recently concluded Borneo Glamping Vol.2 programme has been hailed as a major step in promoting eco-tourism in Sarawak.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang said that the event was not just a showcase of Sarawak’s natural beauty, but also a magnet for local and international tourists.

“This event united over 200 participants from Sarawak and across the globe, including Belarus, Russia, Indonesia, Singapore, and China, spotlighting a celebration of nature, adventure, and international connections,” said Lo when officiating the programme at Havilah Farm here on Saturday.

The event, which ran from November 25 to 26, featured various activities including a kayaking competition, catch-and-release fishing, a movie night under the stars, stargazing, and a morning walk flag-off in which Lo led the walk himself to promote wellness and an appreciation for nature.

Adding to this, Borneo Glamping’s co-founder Shenton Tan explained that their aim with Vol. 2 was to blend luxury with adventure amidst natural settings.
