KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said GPS’ alliance with other parties or coalitions will not happen now until after the 15th General Election) GE15 is over.

Nanta, who officiated at the launching of the new Sarawak Companies Commission of Malaysia’s (SSM) new office complex today (Nov 12), remained tight-lipped on the details of GPS’ plans and refused to divulge further on the matter.

“Any (alliance) will not be formed with any parties now. This will only be discussed after the election is over,” he added.

Previously, GPS chief whip Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also pointed out that the coalition will only decide to cooperate with any other political coalition to ensure the formation of a stable federal government, after the completion of GE15.

He said that for now, the focus of GPS is to ensure that the coalition wins big in GE15, to continue the agenda of fighting for Sarawak rights.

“The important thing is that we have told the people of Sarawak that GPS is GPS. We have not yet decided who we will work with. The important thing is that when we form the government later, we will see what the steps and results are after the election,” he said.
