Head of State visits Premier’s Raya open house

KUCHING: Following the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at Astana Negeri, Head of State Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar embarked on his first Raya visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s open house at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here today (Apr 10).

Abang Johari hosted his first day of Raya open house at BCCK, attracting a total of 13,000 visitors who came to enjoy the festive celebrations.

Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, arrived at BCCK around 1pm and were warmly welcomed by Abang Johari and other distinguished guests.

Visitors from various racial and religious backgrounds attended the Raya open house, and Wan Junaidi and Fauziah took the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life.

BCCK prepared a wide array of cuisines ranging from traditional to modern Sarawak dishes, delighting the visitors who enjoyed the festive atmosphere and decorations in the main hall.

After spending time at BCCK, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah concluded their first Raya visit and returned to Astana Negeri around 1.45pm.

The second day of the Hari Raya open house hosted by Abang Johari will take place tomorrow (Apr 11) from 10am until 2pm.
