MIRI: The Miri Sentral Bus Terminal project at Jalan Cahaya, which was officiated at by caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on November 15, is expected to be completed in early January 2024.

Apart from being a strategic transportation hub in the northern, central and southern regions, this new bus terminal will also be equipped with various facilities including ticketing counters, sundry shops, cafes, taxi and bus parking, waiting areas, cargo storage and toilets.

The project is well received by the public, especially locals living around Miri.

This new initiative by the Sarawak government is another milestone in its efforts to upgrade the transportation facilities for Sarawakians.

Its strategic location will serve the people of Miri well in terms of connectivity and ease of travel. This well planned and designed terminal bus will also significantly improve Miri City as an economic hub.

It will attract many new businesses and increase employment opportunities as it will be a gateway to many rural towns.

It’s yet another example of the commitment of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to the people in the Northern region of Sarawak.
