TEBEDU: The survey of Native Customary Rights (NCR) land in the agricultural lots of Kampung Lanchang and Labak Tungan, covering a total area of 554.3ha, is set to begin next week.

Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada expressed his hope for the full cooperation of all landowners in Kampung Lanchang to ensure a smooth and successful progress of the land survey.

The land survey aims to determine ownership rights and resolve disputes over land ownership and boundaries among family members and the surrounding community. This initiative follows similar surveys conducted in Kampung Pichin, Jenan, Bantang, Nyabet and Sungan.

Dr Sinang made these remarks during a recent Land Survey Dialogue for NCR (Agriculture). The survey will document a total of 716 land lots, with 165 lots each in Kampung Lanchang Sijo and Labak Tungan, and 384 lots in Kampung Lanchang Sabai. The lands will be subsequently surveyed and registered under Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code.
