KUCHING: The Internet provides entrepreneurs with a level playing field nowadays. Assistant Minister for Entrepreneur Development and Medium Enterprises, Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais said that the world is now getting smaller.
“Businesses are now boundless. In the past, businesses were involved in the exchange of goods or messages via telex, then fax and so on.
“However, a way to grow businesses is evolving over time and is fast due to the development in mobile technology,” he pointed out. Naroden also said that nowadays businesses are exposed to equal opportunities.
“But what is most important and for us to understand is that businesses are overwhelming,” he said when officiating at the closing of the North American Market Exploration Programme organised by Dewanita DUBS here, yesterday.
Naroden added that entrepreneurs should be sensitive and courageous to go to a larger external market compared to local markets. “The Internet provides us with an equal footing, meaning that wherever we are either in the city or in the interior, large or small capital, the internet gives us the same opportunity.
“We can promote products to the same market quickly and make the same payment transactions online and can exchange information,” he said. The Assistant Minister of E-Commerce also added that the effectiveness of promoting and selling products through the Internet is one of the benefits of modern technology.
Meanwhile, State DUBS Dewanita chief, Juita Drap said the North American Market Exploration Programme was aimed at exposing experts on trends, views, marketing forecasts and matters relating to the American market. According to her, the founder of Enescorp International, Norizan Sharif was a speaker of the programme.
