Some needy Muslim women choosing used clothings at the function.

KUCHING: Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA) Sarawak Branch in collaboration with Sarawak Islamic Religious Department, Yayasan Yara and Gracious Giving charitable movement hosted an Iftar dinner that was attended by nearly 200 members at Sarawak Islamic Information Centre, here on Saturday, 17 Jun 2017.

Those present were treated with dates and Chinese pastries.

Bubur Lambuk was also prepared for the guests.

A total of 30 orphans from various villages in Kuching and 25 needy families received Ramadan aid comprise of cash assistance and ration supply that were handed over by Mohammad Tony Ong (MACMA Sarawak chairman), Datin Hajah Azerina Abdullah (advisor), Haji Mortadha Lau (advisor) and representatives from Gracious Giving charitable movement namely Dr Azah Yusuf and Noor Hartini Hamdan.

Needy families had the chance to choose suitable used clothings being donated by members of MACMA Sarawak, volunteers and the public.

MACMA Sarawak’s chairman, Mohammad Tony Ong, revealed the association had been working closely with Yayasan Yara, Gracious Giving charitable movement and volunteers for its welfare program since 2014.
