MIRI: The new Senadin Health Clinic is now fully operational to help support services provided by the Tudan Health Clinic at Jalan Tudan in Permyjaya.

The health clinic is located inside a two-story shophouse building in Senadin.

“We hope that it is sufficient to cater to the city’s growing population especially in the northern part of Miri,” said Minister for Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin cum Senadin assemblyman during the official opening of the health clinic on Monday.

He said the idea to establish a health clinic at the shophouse building was mooted by the Miri Division Health department after they identified the location on October 2021.

“The renovation works to the building was fully funded by a corporate firm-ANDACT Sdn Bhd, at a cost of RM600,000,” Lee said.

The renovation works had started in January 2022 and the Senadin health clinic has been in operations since August 2022.

“Since its operation a year ago, statistics in May 2022 showed 594 people visited the clinic per month….we have seen an increase in attendance to 2,590 people in August 2023, with an average of 120 to 130 patients per day,” he said.
