KUCHING: Budget 2023 is a people-centric package anchored on benefiting the people of Sarawak.
In pointing this out, Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang said from the Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang (BKSS) to providing assistance to the rakyat to repair dilapidated houses which is paid for by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak-led government, no other state comes close to Sarawak.
“Where else in Malaysia do you get this? Only in Sarawak.
“And the budget also looks into the Sarawak Sovereign Wealth Future Fund, which is for the future of Sarawakians.
“So, from social benefits for the people right down to the business sector, it’s all there (budget),” he said when met by reporters at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) on Today (Nov 21).
Describing the budget as the biggest the state has ever had Lo called for the people’s continued support to GPS for a better, stronger and wealthier Sarawak.
“Abang Jo alone cannot perform miracles but Abang Jo has the leadership,” he said, referring to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He said everybody must therefor rally behind Abang Johari to ensure Sarawak prospers under his leadership.
