MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine has called on individuals from all walks of life to actively participate in various village activities.

“Practice a healthy lifestyle, and use sports and leisure as one of the mediums to strengthen relationships among residents.

“Unhealthy social issues such as drug abuse and online gambling can be avoided with consistent organisation of this type of activity.”

He was speaking at the Kampung Pegei Family and Sports Day held at Jalan Feri Lama Mukah.

He also gave a grant of RM5,000 to the Kampung Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).

From 7am to 1pm, several games and activities were organised, including Batu Seremban, Ketupat weaving, Search for sugar in the flour, sack run, Tie the Feet in Pairs, tug of war, and lucky name drawing.

Royston also participated in the tug-of-war event, which was also attended by Kampung Pegei chief Razali Juneh and Penghulu Besiri Keri.
