KUCHING: The National Junior and Senior Weightlifting Championship 2022, attracting 121 entries nationwide, will end today at the Indian Association premises here.
Organised by the Sarawak Weightlifting Association, it was declared open by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu who is also Sarawak Weightlifting president and a vice-president of the national body.
Victoria Jack snatched two gold medals and a bronze in the women junior category while Marthini Chan won both the 59kg and 55kg division respectively in the senior category for women.
In the Junior category, Carlos anak Berayan bagged a silver in the 61kg class and in the senior category, Adryn Jhana took home a bronze in the 67kg.
