KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kota Sentosa Branch chairman Wilfred Yap who is also SUPP Public Complaints Bureau chief together with some SUPP members recently went to check on a drain upgrading works at Lorong 6, Taman Mei Lee, Jalan Stakan, Kota Sentosa to ensure that they are done properly.

Yap said the total contract sum for the upgrading works of approximately RM120,000 was awarded to a contractor of Padawan Municipal Council.

“I will continue to follow-up and monitor the upgrading works until they are completed to the satisfaction of all the parties concerned and I will also continue to serve as the ‘eyes and ears’ of residents in the area to ensure that the infrastructure facilities are in good condition and properly maintained,” he added.

On another matter, Yap hoped that Sarawakians understand that it was very crucial and important for us to be united under a common objective for the restoration of Sarawak’s rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and not to be misled by Pakatan Harapan.

He also pointed out that, “As loyal Sarawakians, we should fight for Sarawak’s rights and continue the effort of Tok Nan (the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem), who got the ball rolling to set the Sarawak Agenda for autonomy in motion. We must stand up for our rights, speak with one united Sarawak voice and to go all out to fight for the return of our rights and entitlements that have been eroded over the years especially during the 22 years when Tun Mahathir was prime minister for the sake of our future generations.”
