KANOWIT: Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana recently handed over a total of RM19,500 as academic incentives to 41 recipients in his constituency.

In a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), he said the initiatives were given to students who excelled in their academic field.

“These incentives also aim to help them in furthering their studies at Institutes of Higher Learning (IPT) throughout the country.

“Academic incentive amounting to RM1,000 each is given to those who pursue studies to the Bachelor’s Degree level, RM500 for the Diploma level and RM300 for those who obtain excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) in 2021 based on evaluation by the District Education Office (PPD) Kanowit,” he said.

He added that parents whose children have received an offer to further their studies at an IPT but have not received the incentive, they can bring a copy of their offer letter to the Ngemah ADUN Service Centre for further action.
