SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii donated food to a longhouse under enhanced movement control order (EMCO) here on Wednesday (Oct 13).
Food aid was handed out to residents of Rumah Panjang Bansa, Selangan by Kapitan Ling Dien Yong, who represented Huang.
The items consisted of rice, sugar, tea and coffee, instant noodles, cooking oil, biscuits, canned food and other essential items
The longhouse began EMCO on Wednesday – the EMCO there is scheduled to end on Oct 22.
Meanwhile, Ling visited an elderly woman’s home to deliver a patient bed, also donated by Huang.
Hii Chiw Sung, 85, can barely move around in her home and needs to be assisted by family members.
A patient bed has been set up in her home to make her more comfortable. The family was grateful for the donation.
