KUCHING: In a speech delivered during an Appreciation Parade for the Chief of Staff of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Headquarters, Lieutenant General Datuk Seri Mohd Zakaria Yadi called on all MAF members to fully support the Army’s highest leadership to ensure the continued relevance of the organization.

He emphasised the importance of carrying out entrusted duties honestly and executing roles and responsibilities well.

As one of the senior officers in the Army, Zakaria expressed his desire to see the Army’s vision and targeted goals achieved.

Zakaria, who will retire on June 16 after 42 years of service, was also the fourth Commander of Army Eastern Field Command.

The parade, held at Muara Tuang Camp, was in conjunction with the handover of the PMT TD Command and his retirement from the armed forces.
