KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has partnered KVC Industrial Supplies Sdn Bhd (KVC Industrial Supplies) and JJ-LAPP (M) Sdn Bhd (JJ-LAPP Malaysia) in separate signing ceremonies to build the country’s energy ecosystem to meet growing demand.

In a statement yesterday, Huawei Malaysia said the partnerships help pave the way for the country to achieve carbon neutral status by 2050 through solar manufacturing, and to work with local partners using solar photovoltaic (PV) technology to progress the transition to green digital energy.

“These partnerships with KVC Industrial Supplies and JJ-LAPP Malaysia will see both partners taking on the sales, distribution and service support of Huawei’s range of Solar PV inverters across the country,” a Huawei statement said. Both parties are the main distributors of Huawei’s solar PV inverters in Malaysia.

Huawei Malaysia will be the technology adviser to both parties, manufacture the products, and conduct product training to support the development of clean hydrogen and other renewables technologies.

“By integrating Huawei’s cutting-edge smart PV solutions, customers will be able to receive better and higher yields at lower costs, as well as enhance customer experience and deliver optimum value,” it said.

Solar has been a key pillar of global energy transition and is the preferred choice due to advancing high-tech solutions that have improved accessibility, adaptability, pricing, sustainability, and productivity output.

With electricity consumption expected to double by 2040 in Southeast Asia, Huawei Malaysia said Malaysia is one of the fastest-growing solar energy markets. – BERNAMA
