Dayawa Saribas kick off on winning note

BETONG: Dayawa Saribas United squad started the Betong-LSC League 2017 campaign on a right note after defeating Saberkas Layar 3-1 in Group A’s first match at Betong Sports Complex on weekend.

Dayawa Saribas United’s young striker, Mohamad Fikeri Angat stole the attention of the crowd when he scored twice in the 59th and 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, another goal was scored by Frederick George in the 17th minute. Saberkas Layar’s consolation goal was scored by Ahmad Azlan Sapiee in the late 87th minute.

Head coach Busrah Ahmad commended his men’ after the match and expressed satisfaction with the team’s triumph for the first three points.

“Credit to the players for successfully ensuring three full points. The players played according to plan and I’m quite satisfied with what they performance,” said Busrah.

Credit also given to team captain, Hassba Hussin @ Jay who helped to break the attack from Saberkas Layar.

He admitted his squad lost focus in the second half due to fatigue.
